18k is my favorite metal to work with too. But 14k is most common here in the US.

It is less then 50% gold in mixture so technically it is not gold, it is mixture of gold and other additives , for it to be considered as gold it cant be less then 51% gold in mixture , same as all things in this world .
Im from Croatia , thanks for asking , in here we cant sell nothing less than 14ct (585) ,it is the standard , i prefer 18ct (750) as it is best all around , soft to work with and yet hard enough for jewelery , with nicest color when mixed properly

I don’t know what country you are in, but in the US, legally 10k is considered gold. Personally, I don’t consider 10k worth working with.

Not only that , its 10k gold , that means its only 41% gold and 59% other stuff , not even proper gold , anything below 14k is not considered gold

All this diamond encrusted crap is nothing to aspire to owning. From a jewellers perspective, less is more.

A thousand chips of cheap diamonds that add up to 2 carats is just that: worthless chips (500-600 dollars trade inc gold MAX).
A single 2 carat F clarity, D color diamond. . . Now THAT would be something worth wearing, but not on the street (50-70K dollars trade)
